Let's Get Started!

The most important thing to understand about the ULAT is that it is training you to think in your new language in the same way that you think when you speak your native language. There are easier, more straight-forward ways to present a language than the method the ULAT employs, but they will condemn you to improper thought and, therefore, slow, awkward, stilted speech.

The ULAT does something much more profound than merely giving you an analytical knowledge of a language, as is the case with most textbooks and traditional language teaching. It fully intends for you to develop fluency, but this means taking you back through the stages of language learning through which you went when, as a child, you were learning your native language. Consequently, when the ULAT lesson asks you to listen, to repeat, to perform a gesture or to keep repeating a certain activity until you can complete it within a specified time limit, be sure to do exactly what is asked of you.

Any annual subscription established after January 31, 2017 will be valid for the entirety of the 2017-2018 school year and will not expire until June 30, 2018.
