GRADING KEY - ULAT 3.11

See the grading scale for the test in lesson 2.25 for a more complete discussion of the grading of oral reading activities. The grade is composed of the following three elements:

  1. Fluency = -1 for every word not read within the designated time limit

  2. Accuracy = -1/2 pt. for each incorrectly pronounced word (a word containing an entirely incorrect sound and not one merely pronounced with a poor accent)

  3. Pronunciation = +5 for an authentic accent, +3 for a good accent, -3 for a poor accent, -5 for a very poor accent
