How will I be tested?

School setting
The answer to this question depends upon the context in which you are receiving instruction. If you are a student in a formal classroom setting, you will be tested as your teacher deems best. In all likelihood, your grade will be a combination of several elements: oral participation in the class, your performance on the oral PowerPoint tests and written exams found at the end of many lessons and on oral presentations and essays designated by your teacher.

Independent online students
If you are studying online with a designated ULAT instructor, your grade will be determined by all of the same elements, with the exception of oral participation in class discussion. You will take the oral PowerPoint tests and make oral presentations online with your instructor via Skype during a regularly scheduled online meeting time. Your written work will be done during a specifically designated time frame and then will be e-mailed to your instructor.

Hybrid instruction
A third scenario is a hybrid of the two settings mentioned above. For those of you in close proximity to your instructor, and yet who are performing most of your work from home, you will meet in person with your instructor once a week in a group setting. It is during those group sessions that testing will be performed.
