School setting
Dispense with the need to purchase textbooks! For a single payment of $300 per year per language to be studied, from the date of registration, your school's entire student population, regardless of the number of students, can have access to the ULAT program for one year from the date of registration. (This does not include feedback and evaluation from a ULAT instructor. See that option below.)
For an additional $350, plus travel expenses, Steve Nesbitt, the ULAT's creator, will conduct an 8-hour workshop for your language instructors on the philosophy behind the ULAT, its daily use in class and evaluatory techniques. Your teachers will also be invited to visit and observe Mr. Nesbitt's own ULAT classes in session.
The following option is intended for language teachers wanting to use the ULAT independently in their classroom without the intervention of an outside ULAT instructor.
Online independent study students
The following is an independent study option for homeschoolers or for schools with too few students studying a particular language to justify the cost of an instructor. For $300 per year-long course, the student receives access to the ULAT program for one year from the date of registration, as well as evaluation and feedback by a trained ULAT instructor. Evaluation and feedback are provided via Skype or e-mail. Such students also receive access to the instructor by e-mail in response to their questions. Their grades will be posted online, including individual test results, quarter and semester grades and a transcript provided detailing their quarterly and semester results. This same option exists for groups of at least 10 students and the per student cost is reduced to $250.
Hybrid instruction (online plus in person instruction)
If the student is located in proximity to a ULAT instructor, and would like to receive in person instruction as well as online training, this can be arranged for a cost of $500 per year-long course. This solution is an ideal means of doing independent study and yet ensuring that oral interaction skills are simultaneously progressing. The student receives access to the ULAT program for one year from the date of registration, as well as evaluation and feedback by a trained ULAT instructor and forty 90-minute weekly group sessions, at a site designated by the ULAT instructor, during which instruction, conversation and testing occur. Additonal evaluation and feedback are provided via Skype or e-mail. Such students also receive access to the instructor by e-mail in response to their questions. Their grades will be posted online, including individual test results, quarter and semester grades and a transcript provided detailing their quarterly and semester results. IMPORTANT NOTE: Such classes require a minimum of 10 students enrolled in the course. Rather than the students coming to the ULAT instructor's site, their school or organization can propose a meeting place that it is mutually convenient for the instructor and students.
